Welcome to Beardsley's Sawmill

We offer rough-cut softwood lumber sawn from local forests in upstate NY. We are located in the town of Greene, in Chenango County (see map here), overlooking the beautiful Genegantslet Creek. The sawmill has gone through various owners and suffered numerous catastrophic events, but has operated virtually continuously since 1802, and under the current ownership since 2018.

We offer and stock standard dimensional lumber such as 1x3, 1x4, 1x6, 1x8, 2x4 through 2x12 Hemlock.  Large timbers (e.g. 10"x12") to a max. length of 26' are offered dependent upon log availability. We have a large Yates 4-head planer that quickly produces tongue and groove, ship-lap, and other profiles.  Custom sawing, planing and special orders are also offered, and we would encourage you to give us a call or write to ask about your needs.
